We are so excited to introduce you to the newest member of the Elizabeth Adams, MD team! Meet Emily Trant. Born into an Air Force family, Emily is familiar with a life full of new people and places, but spent the majority of her childhood and high school years in Virginia.

A lover of the salty air and sandy shorelines, Emily moved to Florida with her now husband to attend the University of Central Florida after two years at a community college in Virginia. Avid fishers and scuba divers, Emily and her husband spent three years in Florida where they soaked up every bit of the great weather and the picturesque scenery. Emily recently moved to Columbus, Mississippi, for her husband to pursue pilot training at the Columbus Air Force Base.

We asked Emily a few questions about herself to help you get to know her a little more! See what she has to say about everything from her beauty routine to the thing she can’t live without below-

What inspired you to want to work at Elizabeth Adams, MD?
I loved her approach on how to treat our aesthetic concerns! Many times, it seems we are just doing the necessary things on the outside, but not taking care of ourselves on the inside. It’s important to have someone like Dr. Adams help us figure out what’s going on with the stuff we can’t see.

What are your favorite parts about working at EAMD so far?
There is something about the atmosphere here that just puts me in a bright and cheery mood! I’m so surprised by how inviting a doctor’s office can be!

Tell us about your beauty regimen.
I use a face wash with natural ingredients and essential oils morning and night. I try to exfoliate at least once a day. I’ve started to use the Strawberry Rhubarb Dermafoliant, and I don’t think I could ever switch to another product again! Each face wash is followed by a generous lather of lotion that promotes collagen production. I don’t love the scent of lotion, so I add a drop of lavender or frankincense essential oil— both smell fantastic and are great for your skin!

On a personal note, what is the coolest thing you are working on right now?
I have recently taken interest in trying my hand at wood working, so stay tuned! Not sure if I am any good yet!

What inspires you in your personal life?
I would have to say that experiences inspire me. I have been so fortunate to travel throughout my life. I love meeting new people, seeing different cultures, and exploring new land. Experiences create priceless memories and have inspired me to see more and do more. They inspire me to keep an open mind and appreciate more. I have quite the bucket list of things to do, places to see, people to meet. If I can live a life full of experiences, then I’d say I lived a pretty good one!

So, tell us one of the things on your bucket list?
I would really like to spend a month in Australia with my sister. I would want to visit as many National Parks as we can and dive the Great Barrier Reef.

What is one thing you cannot live without?
I can’t live without my dog! My Archie boy is the sweetest thing. This dog is so spoiled, but he brightens my day and makes me feel so happy. I love bringing him around with me anytime I can.

A fellow dog lover, you can find Emily at the front desk of Elizabeth Adams, MD, petting on Dr. Monte, welcoming clients into the office with a cup of hot tea, and making sure that everything behind the scene runs smoothly!
